Indie pop band The Postal Service was formed in 2001 in Seattle, consisting of singer Ben Gibbard, producer Jimmy Tamborello, and Jenny Lewis on background vocals. Their style has been described as indietronica, indie pop, synth-pop, and emo pop. The band released their only album, Give Up, in 2003.
