Punk rock band The Dickies was formed in Los Angeles in 1977. They are one of the longest tenured punk rock bands and have been in continuous existence for over 40 years. In contrast to the snotty, intentionally offensive humor of many comedically inclined punk bands, the Dickies are winningly goofy, inspired mostly by trashy movies and other pop culture camp.
