Puddle of Mudd has been called post-grunge, nu metal, alternative metal, and hard rock. Several post-grunge bands came close in the immediate aftermath of grunge, but nobody perfected it until Puddle of Mudd came along. Life on Display is the second studio album by Puddle of Mudd. The album spawned the hit single, "Away from Me", which reached #1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks.
