Japanese noise rock band Melt-Banana was formed in Tokyo in 1992. They are known for playing extremely fast grindcore and noise music mixed with experimental, electronica and pop-based song structures. Melt Banana found more success in the U.S. and the U.K. than in their own country, gaining a small but dedicated fan base among American and European punk rock fans.
