Alternative rock band Love and Rockets was formed in 1985 in Northampton, England  by former Bauhaus members Daniel Ash, David J, and Kevin Haskins. Love and Rockets emphasized the strains of psychedelia and glam rock that appeared underneath Bauhaus' gloomy drone, adding elements of pop songcraft, folk, and R&B, as well as cryptic, self-important lyrics. They released seven studio albums: Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven (1985), Express (1986), Earth, Sun, Moon (1987), Love and Rockets (1989), Hot Trip to Heaven (1994), Sweet F.A. (1996), and Lift (1998).
