Active as a band for just 30 years, the Grateful Dead are known as one of the founders of the jam band movement. Led by musician and frontman Jerry Garcia, the band is responsible for hits like “Truckin’,” “Casey Jones,” and “Touch of Grey.” The band not only was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, but a recording of their 1977 performance at Cornell University was also added to the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress in 2012.
