Cheap Trick is an American rock band from Rockford, Illinois, formed in 1973. The band reached the Top 10 in the U.S. charts in 1979 with the Budokan live version of "I Want You to Want Me" and topped the charts in 1988 with "The Flame". Combining a love for British guitar pop songcraft with crunching power chords and a flair for the absurd, Cheap Trick provided the necessary links between '60s pop, heavy metal, and punk. Cheap Trick has performed live more than 3,700 times, has sold more than 20 million albums and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
