Humble Pie are a rock band formed in Essex, England in 1969. They are known as one of the first supergroups of the late 1960s, and found success on both sides of the Atlantic in the early 1970s. The original band line-up featured lead vocalist and guitarist Steve Marriott, vocalist and guitarist Peter Frampton, bassist Greg Ridley and drummer, Jerry Shirley. After a highly charged U.S. tour which yielded 1971's commercial breakthrough Performance: Rockin' the Fillmore, Peter Frampton exited Humble Pie to embark on a solo career.
