With their straight-ahead, three-chord romps, Foghat's sound was American in origin, yet the members were all natives of England. The band is known for the use of electric slide guitar in their music. Foghat has achieved eight gold records, one platinum and one double platinum record, and despite several line-up changes, continue to record and perform. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of their epic double platinum album Foghat Live!, the band are released Live At The Belly Up, recorded at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, California, in 2017.
